Easter in the Greeks' Orthodox Church in Venice

In the complete darkness, people are lighting the candles announcing Easter.

I never experienced before the night of Easter in the Greeks’ Orthodox Church in Venice.

Definitely, one of the most evocative moments occurs just before midnight, when all the lights of the church, already very dim, turn off, and in complete darkness people line up to light their candle from the candlestick held by the Bishop.
